Ingredients
Cauliflower – ½ head, cut into florets
Carrot – 1, chopped into pieces
Onions – 2, medium sized chopped
Green chillies – 4, sliced in the centre
Potato – 1, chopped
Peas – ¼ cup fresh or frozen
Beans – 6, chopped
Coconut milk – 2 cups
Basmati rice – 1 cup, washed and soaked for 15 to 20 mins.
Oil – 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste
To make into a paste
Cardamom – 2 or 3
Cloves – 4 or 5
Garlic – a few pods
Ginger – an inch
Method
- In a pressure pan, add the oil and once hot, add the onions and green chilies. Let the onions brown.
- Now add to it all the vegetables and mix well. Add the rice, paste and salt to it and mix all together properly. Cover and cook for a few minutes. Add the salt and stir.
- Now add the coconut milk and mix well for a couple of minutes.
- Pressure cook for 2 whistles and it is done. Ready to serve.
