Potals Kura | Parval Fry | Pointed Gourd Dry Veg

Ingredients

Potals – 250 gms. chopped
Red chilli powder – 2 tsp.
Turmeric- ½ tsp.
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp.
Cumin – 1 tsp.
Split Urad dal – ½ tsp.
Hing – ¼ tsp.
Curry leaves – few
Oil – 2 tsp.

Method

  1. Take a small pressure cooker. Add oil and once hot, add the mustard seeds, cumin, urad dal, curry leaves and hing.
  2. Fry for a few seconds and add the chopped potals pieces. Saute.
  3. Now add the salt, turmeric, chilli powder and mix well. Cover and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add water and pressure cook for 3 whistles till done.
