Ridge Gourd Chutney with Coriander | Beerakaya Pachadi


Ridge gourd – 2 cups (chopped)
Coriander – half a bunch. (chopped)
Oil – 1 tbsp.
Cumin – 1 tsp.
Split urad dal – 1 tsp.
Green chillies – 2 or 3, chopped
Salt to taste
Tamarind – a small piece


  1. Take a pan and add Oil
  2. Once hot, add the cumin and urad dal.
  3. Fry for a couple of minutes and add the green chillies and ridge gourd pieces.
  4. Sauté till soft and then add salt to taste.
  5. Then add the chopped coriander and mix well.
  6. Lastly add the tamarind and cook for a few minutes
  7. Cool and grind.
