Bendakaya Kobbari Masala | Ladyfinger Coconut Masala Fry


Bendakaya – 1/4 kg.
Fresh Coconut – 3 tbsp.
Garlic – 3 pods
Green chillies – 2 or 3
Oil – 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste


  1. Wash and chop the bendakaya into medium size pieces. They should be dry.
  2. Coarsely grind or hand pound the coconut, green chillies and garlic together and keep aside.
  3. In a pan, add oil and once hot, add the bendakaya pieces. Fry well. Once they are cooked, add salt and mix well.
  4. Then add the masala mix and stir everything together. Fry for a couple of minutes. It is ready to be served with hot rice.
