Yellow cucumber – 1 peeled and chopped
Onion – 1 chopped
Tomatoes – 2 chopped
Green chillies – 2 chopped
Dhaniya or coriander seeds – 1 tsp.
Pepper powder – ½ tsp.
Salt to taste
Turmeric – a pinch
Oil – 2 tbsp.
- Take a pan and heat oil in it. Fry the green chillies, pepper powder and coriander seeds for a minute and remove.
- In the same pan add in the onion and tomato pieces and cook well till done.
- In a small grinder add in all of the above together with the salt, turmeric and yellow cucumber pieces and coarsely grind. If there are small little pieces of the yellow cucumber not totally ground, its okay. That gives the chutney a nice bite. Its best eaten with rice, chapathi or even dosa.
