Coconut Chutney or Pachadi – Style 1 | Breakfast Sides

An evergreen favourite of South Indians, an all time accompaniment for idli, dosa or upma, the coconut chutney is so easy to make and so tasty and healthy with all the benefits of coconut.


Coconut pieces –  1 cup
Cumin – 1 tsp.
Green chillies –  2
Garlic –  1 pod
Coriander –  2 tbsp.
Lemon juice – 2 tsp.

To temper
Mustard seeds –  1 tsp.
Curry leaves –  a few
Red chillies –  1
Split urad dal – ½ tsp.


  1. Blend all the ingredients together.
  2. Do the tempering and pour over chutney.
