Potato Masala | Potato Curry for Rice or Dosa


Potatoes – 3 (boiled and mashed)
Onion – 1 chopped
Green chillies – 2, chopped
Curry leaves – a few
Coriander – 2 tbsp.
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp.
Jeera or cumin – 1 tsp.
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 tbsp.


  1. Put a fry pan on the stove and heat up the oil. Then add the mustard, cumin and curry leaves to it. Let them splutter.
  2. Now add in the chopped onions and green chillies. Add in the salt and turmeric powder. Saute till onion is cooked.
  3. Once this is cooled down, mix in the mashed potato and check for taste. Lastly combine the chopped coriander with the potato masala and serve.
