French Beans Coconut Fry | Beans Kobbari Vepudu

Ingredients

French beans – ¼ kg chopped
Turmeric – ¼ tsp.
Chilli powder – ½ tsp.
Grated coconut – 1/3 cup
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp.
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp.
Curry leaves – a few
Salt to taste
Ginger garlic paste – ½ tsp.
Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp.
Oil – 1 tbsp.
Water for boiling

Method

  1. Take a small pressure cooker and add the chopped beans, turmeric and a little bit of salt together with just enough water to cover and cook for 3 whistles.
  2. Take a kadai and put oil into it. When hot, add in the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
  3. Fry well for a few seconds. Now add in the ginger garlic paste followed by the boiled beans. Fry for a minute and add in the salt, garam masala powder and chilli powder as required.
  4. Lastly add the grated coconut and mix well. Turn off the stove and remove into a serving dish.
